John Cheung, born July 11, 1957, has played key roles in the Hong Kong film industry during the three most active decades of his career. As a truly versatile martial artist, he has shared the screen with many of the genre’s most famous stars in both Hong Kong and the United States. He has worked not only for major studios such as Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest, but also for numerous independent companies such as Goldig. In addition, he has been fortunate enough to participate in several Hollywood productions and has worked behind the scenes as an action choreographer, bringing Hong Kong’s distinctive style of action design to the United States in films such as DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY.
