The New York Giants are officially on their summer break but will return on Tuesday, July 23 when players report for training camp. The first practice will be held a day later and then it’s full-steam ahead toward the 2024 regular season.
Entering Year 3 of the Joe Schoen-Brian Daboll regime, expectations remain low. The Giants regressed significantly in 2023, largely due to injuries, and their roster continues to lack top-end talent and quality back-end depth at a number of positions.
But Schoen has managed to address a few lingering issues, including edge rush help and much-needed improvements along the offensive line. Both of those fixes came at a cost and a few sacrifices (see: running back, safety) were made.
The roster build has shuffled the team’s salary structure and a couple of new players have cracked the list of the highest-paid.
