A lot has changed, but a lot has stayed the same since the announcement of the 2024 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team. Quite simply, talented players abound across FCS college football. Here are the postseason All-America and freshman team selections.
FCS national powers and awards finalists help fill the 2024 Stats Perform FCS All-America Team and Freshman All-America Team.
The All-America team has 113 players across three teams, representing all 13 FCS leagues and 67 schools. Montana State has the most selections with seven and South Dakota State is second with six.
The first team includes the trios invited to the upcoming announcements of the national players of the year: the Walter Payton Award with quarterbacks Tommy Mellott of Montana State and Cam Miller of North Dakota State and Southern Utah running back Targhee Lambson, and the Buck Buchanan Award with defensive ends Jeremiah Grant of Richmond and David Walker of Central Arkansas and Mercer cornerback TJ Moore.
In addition, 31 players from 27 schools comprise the Freshman All-America Team, including North Dakota State running back CharMar Brown, the Jerry Rice Award recipient. NDSU, Idaho, Missouri State and Wofford lead with two selections each.
