New Mexico isn’t typically known as a state that produces quality football recruits, but the Land of Enchantment has a special player in Mason Posa. The 2025 linebacker from Albuquerque (NM) La Cueva holds 16 offers already. A two-sport star with a legitimate future as a collegiate wrestler, Posa also has a big future on the gridiron.
At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Posa is ranked as the No. 22 linebacker in the nation and No. 1 overall prospect in New Mexico, according to 247Sports. Posa hasn’t been on many visits yet because of his wrestling schedule, but he has several schools circled for trips during the spring.
