Colorado fans could have used the above instructions the previous two days as rumors circulated Jordan Seaton was entertaining a late flip to Maryland. Even Oregon and Tennessee made a late run at the five-star offensive tackle prospect. Alabama, Florida and Ohio State were other programs Seaton gave strong consideration to during the course of his recruitment.
But, in the end, Seaton is a Buff. He announced his final decision and made it official during the final day of the early signing period.
The No. 1 offensive lineman in America is a Buff!

This marks the third consecutive year, dating back to the 2022 recruiting cycle with Travis Hunter going to Jackson State, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders has reeled in a five-star. Seaton’s current 247Sports Composite rating of .9957 is the third highest among Colorado’s signees during the modern era, dating back to 2000. He is ranked No. 1 among 2024 offensive tackle recruits nationally on both 247Sports and the Composite.

A starter at left tackle for IMG Academy, Seaton helped the Ascenders average 33.5 points per game en route to an undefeated 10-0 record playing against a national schedule this fall. He was a MaxPreps Junior All-American in 2022 and a Sophomore All-American in 2021.

247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins put together an updated evaluation of Seaton late last month:
“One of the few offensive line prospects in the 2024 cycle that has a chance to be a left tackle at the game’s highest levels. Completely reworked his body from the time he first emerged on the recruiting scene as a freshman up in the D.C. area, shedding a ton of bad weight while adding plenty of functional strength in the upper half. Updated measurements weren’t available in advance of senior season, but was believed to be hovering somewhere around 6-foot-5, 290 pounds with a 6-foot-10 wingspan to boost. Quick-footed and exceptionally agile for someone of his stature. Constantly looks to finish what he started. Mirrors well in pass protection with a sound, repeatable process. Advanced hand placement not only allows him to saddle up pass rushers and ride them out of the way, but also strike and explode through defenders in run fits. Has no issues climbing, and hit 17.7 MPH on a GPS tracking device while pulling in a game. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter for a College Football Playoff contender based on what he put on tape as a 12th grader at IMG Academy, which has churned out plenty of high-profile linemen over the years. Must keep his eyes on the prize and embrace the grind as lumps are likely early on in collegiate career, but has the tools to blossom into an early-round NFL Draft pick given length and ability to both anchor and recover.”

Seaton is expected to join the Buffaloes as an early enrollee for the spring semester, which begins on Jan. 17 at Colorado.
During an interview with Stephen A. Smith on YouTube, Coach Prime talked about Seaton’s potential:
“The big fella, I call him ‘Big Time.’ That’s his nickname. He knows how to articulate himself, he knows what he wants, but he is willing to work to go get it. This kid practices his butt off, but he’s a man. He comes from tough beginnings. His uncle is a rider and has got his back wholeheartedly. He hasn’t come up the soft way. This kid is a pro, mentally and physically, right now. I love everything about this kid and who he is going to become. I promise you this kid is going to be a first-rounder, if not a top five pick. He doesn’t just want to put you in the turf, he wants to make you a sprinkler head.”
