Leadership Perspectives
Oliver Oakes, Team Principal: “Days like this are significant milestones in a Formula One season. The effort across our Enstone and Viry-Châtillon facilities has been immense in preparing for the challenges ahead. We are focused on laying strong foundations and making continuous progress in what will undoubtedly be a highly competitive season. Our goal is to push the limits of development while keeping an eye on the regulatory changes for 2026.”
A525: Built to Rise Higher
The A525 represents an evolution of the A524, a car that saw major development throughout the 2024 season. With two podium finishes, including a strong result at the São Paulo Grand Prix, the team secured sixth place in the FIA Constructors’ Championship. Looking ahead, Alpine aims to build on that momentum in 2025. The A525 will make its on-track debut in Bahrain during a shakedown on February 24, where Gasly and Doohan will split the 200km-limited session before three days of pre-season testing later that week.
David Sanchez, Executive Technical Director: “It has been a demanding winter, and I want to credit everyone at our factories for their dedication in refining the A525. This car is a continuation of the A524’s development path, incorporating key refinements to address weaknesses and unlock more performance. Our revised approach last season gave us the flexibility to push the boundaries, and we are pleased with the progress so far. Now, our focus is on maximizing this car’s potential while also laying the groundwork for the future.”
Driver Excitement for 2025
Pierre Gasly: “This time of year is always exciting—we’re so close to the season start, and it’s great to see the results of all the hard work over the off-season. Entering my eighth year in Formula One, I feel just as motivated as I did in my debut season. I’ve been training hard to be in peak condition, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the A525 in Bahrain.”
Jack Doohan: “I’m thrilled to step up to a full-time race seat with BWT Alpine Formula One Team for 2025. Making my debut with the team last year in Abu Dhabi was a dream come true and gave me valuable experience in a race weekend environment. Now, I’m eager to hit the track in Bahrain and begin what I hope will be an exciting season, especially with my home race in Australia coming up soon.”
With its bold new look, an inspiring team campaign, and a determined lineup of drivers and leadership, BWT Alpine Formula One Team is ready to take on the 2025 Formula One season with ambition and passion. The road to Bahrain begins now.
