Could clearly hear Bobby Portis’ message to his teammates during the first timeout:
“Everybody rebound. We got everything to lose right now, everybody rebound and crash the f-ing glass!” – 9:51 PM

A global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters picked Reid over Monk and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis. Reid finished with 352 points and 45 first-place votes. Monk had 342 points and 43 first-place votes. Reid and Monk both received 39 second-place votes and 10 third-place votes. The 10-point difference between the first- and second-place finishers is the smallest margin in Sixth Man of the Year balloting under the current voting format, which began with the 2002-03 season. -via Sacramento Bee / April 24, 2024
Eric Nehm: Bucks forward Bobby Portis was asked about the physicality, trash talking and technical fouls tonight and whether he felt that was the Pacers way of getting themselves going on the road. Here was his response: “I mean, just quite frankly, they’re frontrunners, bro. Y’all can just tweet that or whatever it is, bro. When the sh** going good, they laughing, clapping all that. When it’s going bad, they not saying nothing, so I think that to answer the question, guys always feel good when they’re having a good game or hitting shots, everybody. I think that’s just human nature and basketball. When you making shots, you feeling good. But when the tough going, you can’t get nothing going, it kind of go the other way. So, yeah, they’re supposed to feel good. They were hitting shots. They gameplanned really well, so yeah, they’re supposed to feel really good, of course. But Game 3 on the way Friday.” -via Twitter @eric_nehm / April 24, 2024
