The Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff hopes got a major boost last Saturday as Joe Burrow orchestrated a thrilling 30-24 overtime victory against the Denver Broncos.
The star quarterback threw three touchdowns, including the game-winner, as he continued his remarkable 2024 campaign.
His stellar performance hasn’t gone unnoticed, with even Dallas Cowboys defensive standout Micah Parsons joining the growing chorus calling for Burrow to be named NFL MVP.
Though Parsons doesn’t get an official MVP vote – no active players do – his perspective carries significant weight in NFL circles.
The Cowboys’ defensive force didn’t hold back in his praise for Burrow’s impact this season, in a recent edition of “The Edge with Micah Parsons”.
“He, without a doubt, should be MVP… He has took this team, what were they? 5-8? 4-8? To 8-8 and with a chance to solidify in playoffs. This is not just a walk-in-the-park season, like, he’s having a historical season. If they go to the playoffs, I don’t think any team would wanna see the Bengals. He looks unstoppable,” Parsons declared.

The Cowboys linebacker revealed an interesting tidbit from his team’s locker room discussions about the toughest quarterbacks they’ve faced this year.
Despite going up against talents like Lamar Jackson early in the season, the Cowboys’ defense found Burrow particularly challenging when he hit his stride.
The numbers back up the praise. Burrow’s 2024 season has been nothing short of exceptional, even by his own lofty standards.
He’s leading the league with 42 passing touchdowns and 4,641 passing yards. His recent masterclass against the Broncos, completing 39 of 49 passes, pushed his 2024 completion rate to a career-best 69.8%.
When one considers his impressive NFL career completion rate of 68.3%, it’s clear that Burrow is taking his game to new heights this season.
