Tennessee has always been an option for wide receiver Amari Jefferson.
He spent his freshman season at Alabama — where he took a redshirt after not getting any playing time — but from Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Volunteers have apparently always been on his mind.
In fact, Jefferson was also a stellar baseball prospect, and he had been committed to Tennessee’s baseball program before ultimately choosing to sign (in baseball and football) with the Crimson Tide in the winter of 2023.
It’s all coming full circle for Jefferson now, though. He entered the transfer portal on Jan. 2, and less than a week later, he’s the newest member of Josh Heupel’s Tennessee football program.
