Bayern Munich may have hit a snag in contract talks with star Jamal Musiala, but it is reportedly expected to be only a speed bump on the way to completion.
Negotiations are ongoing, and Sky Sport journalists Florian Plettenberg and Kerry Hau have reported on the numbers and contract details at play. As captured via @iMiaSanMia:
Jamal Musiala wants to extend his Bayern contract and his management is expecting an agreement with the club by February at the latest. To make the renewal possible, Musiala’s camp has already reduced the proposed total package by €4-5m. The currently requested package amounts to around €25-26m gross per year (salary heavily performance-based + various potential add-ons). Additional special bonuses could include incentives like winning the Ballon d’Or and a loyalty bonus offered by Bayern
A decision on a potential release clause has not been made yet. Musiala wants to extend until 2029 or 2030 and is not in talks with any other club

Musiala, no surprise, is poised to rocket to near the top of the Bayern wage bill alongside English national team captain and mega-star striker Harry Kane. His current contract runs through 2026.
