Magic Johnson has the special touch, and the Washington Commanders are starting to benefit from that.
He’s had considerable success as a business owner and in his sporting endeavors, so there were many reasons to be excited when he joined the ownership group.
Notably, Johnson has taken a hands-on approach to make sure the Commanders revamped their subpar workplace culture.
He has constantly talked to the players and been present to oversee what’s going on.
That was evident again after the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Following the win, the legendary point guard embraced star WR Terry McLaurin (via Sam Fortier).

He praised him for his leadership.
There were reasons to believe the Commanders would be better under Josh Harris and Magic Johnson’s watch.
Nonetheless, not many people expected the turnaround to be so quick and noticeable.
Much of that also involved finding the right quarterback, which is often the hardest part of the equation.
The Commanders may have struck gold with Jayden Daniels, who looks like a legitimate superstar in the making.
This is the worst he’ll ever be, and the rest of the league should be afraid of that.
Moreover, with a new brass of decision-makers, the Commanders will be a very good team for a very long time.
