Bayern Munich defeated VfL Wolfsburg at home in a 3-2 victory that was a lot less close than the scoreline suggests. At the same time, the visitors had opportunities to snatch a couple of points off the Bavarians in the end, who did well enough to preserve their victory.
Vincent Kompany rotated slightly from the midweek rout of TSG Hoffenheim, giving starts to Konrad Laimer and Leon Goretzka at right-back and midfield respectively. And it was only two subs in a match where Bayern suddenly needed to preserve a one-goal lead at the end.
