The Philadelphia Eagles will have the opportunity to earn their second trip to the Super Bowl in the past three seasons when they host the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game.
The Eagles are solid favorites to win this game, but a victory isn’t exactly a sure thing, especially given Washington rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels’ penchant for the dramatic and his otherworldly poise.
In addition, the Eagles are banged up, as quarterback Jalen Hurts (knee), defensive back Quinyon Mitchell (shoulder), offensive lineman Cam Jurgens (knee) and tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) were all listed on their injury report.
Hurts and Mitchell were full participants in practice, but Jurgens and Goedert sat out, as did offensive guard Fred Johnson due to a personal matter.
Eagles injury report for Thursday:

Dallas Goedert — Did Not Practice (Ankle)

Hurts wasn’t able to play in the final two regular season games, and he suffered a knee injury in their divisional-round win against the Los Angeles Rams.
He will need to be at his best against Washington, no matter how he’s feeling, because if he doesn’t have success throwing the football, Daniels will get ample opportunities to hand the Eagles a loss.
Mitchell has been a key factor in the revival of their defense, which was poor last season but has looked like the best in the league in recent weeks.
The rookie had 12 passes defended in the regular season and had six solo tackles in the wild-card playoff win against the Green Bay Packers.
