The Dallas Cowboys’ 2024 NFL season was disappointing, to say the least.
They finished 7-10 and third in the NFC East.
There weren’t too many positive moments throughout the regular season.
The Cowboys were clearly a couple of tiers below Super Bowl contenders like the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
Dallas has many questions to answer this offseason, including on the defensive end, where multiple key player injuries have hurt them heavily.
Perhaps the most detrimental injury was to Trevon Diggs who suffered a knee injury and was forced to miss the remainder of the regular season.
Diggs is one of the best cornerbacks in the league when healthy, but hasn’t been able to stay on the field for extended stretches in recent years.
Now, it appears fans are worried about Diggs’ future in the league following his knee procedure via Todd Archer of ESPN.
“Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs had chondral tissue graft surgery Thursday on his left knee and the recovery could keep him until parts of training camp if not longer, according to multiple sources,” Archer reported.

Had this done twice – BRUTAL surgery and rehab, knee never been the same. I’m no pro athlete but this is far from routine unlike the CL repairs. Good luck Trevon.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse for us man

Well, looks like Dallas will have a need at CB going into free agency and the draft.

Todd is it fair to question whether his career is over? He hasn’t really been very good the last couple years and he’s had multiple bad injuries

While Diggs is expected to return fully healthy at some point, fans are understandably worried that he will never be the same player after another major surgery.
Dallas’ defense sorely missed Diggs on the field, as opposing teams had a much easier time moving the football through the air.
If Diggs is unable to participate at the start of training camp, the Cowboys could be forced into addressing the position much sooner than expected.
