2024 was not a great year for Bayern Munich. A heartbreaking semi-final defeat in the Champions League prevented the club from any titles in the 2024 calendar year. Due to the performance of the club, Bayern Munich players have suffered from recognition in the football awards season. Most notably, Jamal Musiala’s omission from the Ballon d’Or nominees. However, that lack of recognition did not reach EA Sports.
EA Sports FC has named 3 Bayern Munich players in the shortlist of nominees to make their Team of the Year. Bayern’s three nominees are Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, and Harry Kane. While three players can seem harsh, it seems appropriate based on the players’ performances.
Undoubtedly, these three Bayern Munich players all deserve recognition for an exceptional year that they will aim to build upon in 2025. Bayern should do all they can to keep these players at the club in the coming years.
Controversially, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo once again made the list of nominees. No shortage of Bayer Leverkusen players as their historic year earned them several nominations. Based on the fan voting, it is unlikely that any Bayern Munich player will make the Team of the Year but fans can vote here.
