Two Sundays from now, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will meet in Super Bowl LIX, and it should be a riveting matchup.
It will be a rematch of the Super Bowl from two years ago, when the Chiefs overcame a 10-point halftime deficit and won in the final seconds on a Harrison Butker field goal, and they will be going for an unprecedented third straight Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Plenty of fans who don’t root for either team seem to be rooting against the Chiefs, but Marshawn Lynch, who earned a Vince Lombardi Trophy a decade ago with the Seattle Seahawks, said he wants to see Kansas City make history.
“I want to see a three-peat in real life,” Lynch said. “I want to see that s***.”

The last team in any major pro sport to win three world championships in a row was the Los Angeles Lakers, who did so in 2002 behind Shaquille O’Neal and the late great Kobe Bryant.
In fact, no NFL team had won as many as two consecutive Super Bowl titles before the Chiefs did so since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots did so in the 2004 season.
There is a perception that the Chiefs have greatly benefitted from the officiating, which has made them, in the minds of some, a villain as they seek history.
On the other hand, quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a shot at perhaps entering the greatest of all-time (G.O.A.T.) discussions by winning a third ring in a row and his fourth overall.
On the other side, running back Saquon Barkley has had an amazing season for Philly, and many would love to see him win it all after becoming only the ninth player to reach 2,000 rushing yards in a single season.
