It’s crazy to think that no NFL team wanted Bill Belichick in the past two offseasons.
Arguably the greatest head coach in NFL history, the Super Bowl champion will now be coaching in college at North Carolina.
The 72-year-old is starting his tenure with the students on the right foot.
“UNC head coach Bill Belichick is getting pizzas for Carolina fraternities for the Duke (men’s basketball) game tomorrow night,” Ross Martin of CBS Sports wrote on X.

The basketball rivalry with Duke runs deep at UNC, which for most of its athletic history has been a “basketball school.”
It has had some of the greatest players in history, including Michael Jordan and James Worthy.
Likewise, Duke also had a plethora of stars on its campus, with Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, as the latest.
On the football field, Belichick will have his work cut out for him.
He’ll have the challenge of turning a program that has often been the basketball team’s little brother into a powerhouse.
That’s during an absolute revolution going on in college sports.
The NIL era and the transfer portal have shaken the NCAA to its core, and no one knows how this will look going forward.
Then again, if someone can do what seems to be impossible, that might be one of the finest football minds to ever grace the game.
