Joe Burrow gave the Cincinnati Bengals an MVP-caliber season in 2024, and he’d likely be a lock for the award if the defense was good enough to help them win enough games to make the playoffs.
Despite questions about the health of his wrist following last year’s season-ending injury, Burrow posted career highs across the board.
Those included a 70.6 percent completion percentage, 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdown passes, which make a recent admission even more surprising.
“Dan Orlovsky says on ‘NFL Live’ that Bengals QB Joe Burrow told him and Ryan Clark last night at the Pro Bowl Games that his wrist still impacts him and he still can’t quite throw it like he wants to,” Austin Elmore of ESPN 1530 Cincinnati wrote on X.

Makes his 2024 season even more impressive.

Given the season Burrow had, one wouldn’t expect his wrist to still be an issue, but it’s concerning that this problem persists after surgery and with so much time having passed since the injury.
He mentioned that things weren’t 100 percent before the season, but it didn’t look that way when he was throwing multiple touchdowns weekly, so fans simply have to hope it doesn’t get worse.
Burrow has plenty of time before next season begins, so the hope is that he can either continue rehab or possibly have another surgery if there’s something that can be fixed.
Nobody wants to hear that their franchise quarterback is struggling with a chronic injury that shows no signs of improvement.
