Tom Brady has done well in the first year of his new career as a color commentator for the NFL on FOX, and he will call Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
There are plenty of people who are rooting for the Eagles, not because they want them to win it all but merely because they don’t want the Chiefs to capture a third straight Vince Lombardi Trophy.
A lot of the dislike for the Chiefs stems from the perception that they have massively benefitted from favorable officiating, dating back to last season’s Super Bowl when they squeaked past the San Francisco 49ers.
The former quarterback, who faced similar thoughts of favorable officiating during his playing career, recently pushed back on the Chiefs controversy.
“I think it’s just all BS. It’s just a bunch of noise,” Brady said, via Front Office Sports.
Tom Brady sums up the controversy over whether NFL referees favor the Chiefs with two letters: “BS.”
Due to his minority ownership in the Raiders, Brady operates under the so-called “Brady Rules,” where he’s restricted from criticizing officials.

It should be noted that because Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, he’s not allowed to criticize NFL officials.
Kansas City, according to critics, has gotten away with holding penalties that weren’t called, while opponents have been flagged for some questionable roughing the passer penalties on Patrick Mahomes.
The Chiefs have won a large number of games by less than a touchdown this season, which has led to plenty of conspiracy theories that claim the NFL has been rigging games in their favor.
Of course, there is no empirical evidence that the league or individual officials have been influencing games in favor of the Chiefs.
Brady played on a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that defeated the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV by 22 points, and the Eagles may need to build a similar lead in order to win, given how great Mahomes is in the clutch.
