Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich knows that his team’s 3-0 win over Werder Bremen was not always easy on the eye, but the Germany international admires how his squad battled against a tough opponent.
“The game had a lot of what it takes to win: In the first half, it was a lot of patience, in the second half we increased the pace, had better chances, played better positionally and didn’t allow any chances. All in all, it was a very good performance. We wanted to defend everything until the last minute. Now we’ll take care of ourselves a bit and then look forward to the game on Wednesday. It will be a very decisive and special week for us,” said Kompany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
If Bayern Munich can take some momentum out of the win over Werder Bremen, then the pain of that first half might be forgotten. However, if Bayern Munich comes out flat against Celtic, fans might start to fret just a bit.
