Celtic have been one of the surprises of the Champions League season, defying expectations — which typically consists of finishing comfortably at the bottom of their four team group — to excel in the expanded format this season and grab a playoff spot. Their reward is a tie against Bayern Munich and Harry Kane, which will be the first game against the German giants since 2017.
Nor does the former Tottenham Hotspur striker know much about Celtic, aside from one rather well known tidbit. Via @iMiaSanMia, he had this to say: “I have never played at Celtic Park. But I’ve heard a lot about the great atmosphere. It will be a challenging game for us.”
This is the closest the Scottish champions have come to making it to the knockout rounds since 2013 and they will give their all. However, having sold star striker Kyōgo Furuhashi to Stade Rennais during the winter transfer window while Bayern’s star striker demonstrates his readiness for the tie, Celtic will have to fight to odds to advance.
