Kaue Fernandes has been pulled from his lightweight showdown against Jared Gordon, scheduled for the UFC Vegas 102 preliminary card this Sat. night (Feb. 15, 2025) at the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Visa issues are to blame, according to a recent update from UFC.com.
Taking over for the Brazilian will be 28 year-old newcomer Mashrabjon Ruziboev (19-4-1). “Black Junior” is the winner of seven straight but has not competed since late 2023. He’ll face a stiff test in Gordon (20-7), a grizzled veteran with over a dozen fights inside the Octagon.
The 36 year-old “Flash” is currently unranked at 155 pounds.
UFC Vegas 102 will be headlined by the middleweight mashup pitting Jared Cannonier against Gregory Rodrigues. In the UFC Vegas 102 co-main event, Calvin Kattar returns to throw hands with featherweight up-and-comer Youssef Zalal.
