“Rain City” lost another fight.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight title challenger Curtis Blaydes will not be fighting UFC newcomer Rizvan Kuniev at UFC Seattle next weekend (Sat. Feb. 22, 2025); however, they will still collide at UFC 313 on March 8, 2025, inside T-Mobile in Las Vegas, Nevada.
MMAJunkie was the first to report the news and mentioned no reason was given for the switch-up (but it was probably to improve a pretty weak UFC 313 pay-per-view card at the expense of robbing Seattle).

Blaydes (18-5) has been out of action since his disappointing quick UFC Heavyweight title loss to Tom Aspinall at UFC 304 last July. He is looking to rebound and start the climb back up the divisional ladder.
“Razor” is 4-2 in this last six fights.
His opponent, Kuniev (13-2-1), will be making his UFC debut against a Top 5 opponent after receiving a contract on season eight of Contender Series when he stopped Hugo Cunha with a brutal knee to the body.
The Russian fighter is riding an 11-fight win streak but has a no-contest on his record from when he tested hot for steroids during his time with Professional Fighters League.
