Bayern Munich is fresh off a win they struggled to achieve against Celtic, but Vincent Kompany wants to remind fans that the fight isn’t over yet.
In a post-game interview, captured by @iMiaSanMia, Kompany spoke about the win and how Bayern struggled. “Good win but it’s only half time. Celtic don’t lose often at home so we’ll take this win. We’re strong at home too and looking forward to Tuesday. The first minute was not ideal, but then we defended with discipline and stayed solid. I think it was a deserved win and we want to carry on,” said Bayern’s coach.
The Belgian knows that they must still fight for their spot next week, and although playing the second leg at home will give them a considerable advantage, the team will carry on without underestimating Celtic’s abilities. The squad saw today exactly how quickly and aggressively the Scottish club can react, and is bound to be wary next Tuesday.
