The 2024 NFL Draft is rich with quarterback talent, and after the 2024 Senior Bowl that may be an understatement.
Several quarterbacks are already expected to be taken in the first or second round, including USC’s Caleb Williams, UNC’s Drake Maye, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Oregon’s Bo Nix, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy.
However, a new quarterback is now rising in the rankings following a strong performance in the Senior Bowl.
That player is South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler. The 23-year-old was named the MVP of the game on Saturday after completing four-of-four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.
“It means a lot. We put in a lot of hard work this week. It’s not just for me, it’s for the American squad. We fought our butts off today and had a great week with the guys,” Rattler told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. “[This week’s] been a blessing, being around great coaches, great people. Just creating relationships with these guys that I’ve known coming up and competing against.”
