While the prospects in this year’s upcoming NFL draft who have gotten the most attention are wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, Abdul Carter is another man who could make a big imprint on the team that selects him.
He is considered the best edge rusher in this year’s draft class, and many mock drafts have him going within the first few picks — in fact, some feel he could be the first player chosen.
Dov Kleiman posted a photo of Carter wearing a Philadelphia Eagles hoodie on X, which makes it seem as if Carter has signaled that he would like to join the newly minted Super Bowl champions.

Obviously, it would take a massive trade by the Eagles for them to acquire a draft pick high enough to make Carter theirs.
He is originally from the Philly area, and he played all three years of his college football career at nearby Pennsylvania State University, where he had 12.0 sacks, four passes defended and two forced fumbles in 2024.
Carter is an explosive athlete who has outstanding speed and quickness, and some have compared him to Micah Parsons, the star outside linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys.
