Free-agent second baseman Adam Frazier and the Royals reportedly have agreed on a one-year deal for a guaranteed $4.5 million, a source has told MLB.com Mark Feinsand. Frazier will get $2 million in 2024 with an $8.5 million mutual option for 2025 ($2.5 million buyout), according to Feinsand. The club has not confirmed the report.
2024 will mark the ninth season in the Majors for the 32-year-old left-handed hitter. An All-Star in 2021, Frazier played his first six seasons with the Pirates before spending time with the Padres, Mariners and Orioles. He hit .240 with 13 homers and 60 RBIs while posting a .696 OPS in 141 games for Baltimore in 2023.
