Alabama and Clemson went into the locker room at halftime neck and neck in a one-possession game. The Crimson Tide led, 35-32, after making a surge before the midway break. In their previous matchup earlier this season, the Tigers had a slight edge at halftime, leading by one point after the first 20 minutes in Tuscaloosa back in November. However, unlike the first meeting, Alabama went on to prevail with much higher stakes.
