The next wave of potential SEC superstars at quarterback are participating in the Elite 11 Finals this week, seven of which are currently committed to league programs and a few other high-end prospects have SEC schools in their group of options. Tennessee commit George MacIntyre — the eighth SEC-committed signal-caller of the 2025 recruiting cycle — pulled out due to an injury to his index finger. He’s the fifth-best quarterback in this class and top-ranked player in Tennessee per 247Sports.
Those making the most noise include Alabama commit Keelon Russell (No. 7 QB, No. 39 overall per 247Sports) and Texas A&M pledge Husan Longstreet (No. 4 QB, No. 28 overall), who both passed the eye test early on with expansive skillsets and arm strength. Longstreet, who made his decision in April, is doing what he can to recruit others to Mike Elko’s first full class with the Aggies, one currently slotted inside the top 10.
