Kaleb Edwards is the latest to keep the summer momentum rolling for Alabama. The four-star tight end committed to the Crimson Tide over Auburn, Oregon, Texas, UCLA and Washington on Tuesday, July 2.
“Coach (Kalen) DeBoer wins everywhere he goes,” he told Bama247 after his official visit on June 14-16. “Just seeing him in a program that already has a history of winning, it is going to be great for him and the program.”

The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder is the No. 6 tight end, No. 119 prospect and No. 10 player in California, per the Top247 Player Rankings. Edwards marks the fifth commit out of California joining Dijon Lee, Chuck McDonald, Jackson Lloyd, Abduall Sanders Jr. and Alex Asparuhov in the No. 2 ranked class.
Edwards hauled in 44 receptions for 828 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. He tallied 27 receptions for 628 yards and seven touchdowns in his sophomore season. Bama247 learned more about the unicorn type of prospect during a conversation with 247Sports’ Brandon Huffman.
