Kalen DeBoer has been off to a hot start on the 2025 recruiting trail. This will be his first official full class as the Alabama Crimson Tide’s head football coach.
At the time of this writing, Alabama’s 2025 class is ranked No. 8 in the country by 247Sports with 10 hard commitments, six of which are four-stars.
The one thing DeBoer hasn’t done yet at Alabama — outside of coach in a game just yet — is land a five-star recruit. But it sounds like the Crimson Tide are trending in the right direction in that regard.
Dijon Lee is a five-star cornerback recruit from Mission Viejo, Calif. He recently took an official visit to Tuscaloosa and the Tide made a great impact.
“It went good. It was a great visit,” Lee told BamaOnline. “Connecting with the coaches really well. I had a great time out there. Connected really well with the players. Got to know Zabien Brown a little bit better. Talked with Domani [Jackson]. I just had a great visit.”
Brown will be a freshman this season at Alabama having committed to the Tide as a five-star cornerback last cycle. Jackson is another five-star cornerback. He transferred from USC to Alabama to be a part of the Nick Saban to DeBoer transition.
It’s worth noting that Lee has also taken official visits to Washington, Texas A&M and Georgia, but he admitted to liking what Alabama can do for him development-wise.
“I’ve seen a couple of players that go to the school now, like Zabien… I’ve just seen him improve a lot ever since he got there,” Lee explained. “That’s what really stood out to me.”
On3 currently believes there’s an 87 percent chance Lee will wind up with the Tide. Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he’s the No. 4 cornerback in the 2025 class.
