The latest SEC power rankings are out and for the first time this season, there’s mass fluctuation across the board after a wild weekend across the conference. Following Vanderbilt’s stunner against Alabama, Tennessee falling at Arkansas and Texas A&M obliterating Missouri, everything we thought we know about the league has been tossed into a blender near midseason.
For Commodores coach Clark Lea, beating a nationally-ranked team for the first time as the leader of a program that came into the matchup on a long league losing streak was a testament to buy-in from players.
“That’s what a win looks like. It’s a team win. That’s what our program is,” Lea said. “We have everything we need here to replicate that. We were a more disciplined team tonight. We cleaned up the penalties. I was proud of that. Hopefully there’s a great lesson for us to pull forward from that.”
