Aleksandar Pavlović was sidelined with a broken collarbone before making his return earlier this week with a sub appearance in a loss against Bayer Leverkusen.
In Bayern Munich’s 4-2 over Heidenheim, though, Pavlović got the starting nod and turned in a solid (not spectacular) to help shake off a little more rust. Afterward, the Germany international was just happy to have things back to normal.
“I’m happy about my comeback and getting a win was nice. Jamal is very important for us. He’s an outstanding player who’s fun to play with. He was a driving force for us today. This year he’s extremely strong, also mentally, which helps us a lot,” Pavlović said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Anything that Bayern Munich gets from Pavlović from now through the end of December is a bonus. Clearly, though, the player and the team were both happy with the end result on Saturday.
