Thomas Tuchel will not be sacked as Bayern coach after Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Bochum, club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has confirmed.
Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has backed Thomas Tuchel to stay on as coach despite the 3-2 defeat to Bochum tonight, which extended the Bavarians’ losing streak to three games.
Asked if Tuchel will still be in charge when Bayern face RB Leipzig next week, Dreesen replied:
“Of course.”
“I don’t believe in these monstrous statements of support for coaches,” he added.
“I know what they want to hear, but these loyalty oaths are over after one week. That’s why I say it my way. That’s not an issue we’re dealing with right now. We have to concentrate on the next few games,” he told Sky Germany.
