Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen says that the club will not have their annual summer tour due to the time that will be required for the Club World Cup.
“A summer tour, as we’ve done in recent years, obviously cannot happen. We hope to get far at the Club World Cup, which would mean a maximum of seven games over a long period of time. This way we can combine marketing in the USA with the sporting aspect. This also promises enormous appeal and reach worldwide. We are working on this together with Audi and our partners,” Dreesen told Tz (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The schedule will be a tough one for players either way, but they should have less promotional duties during the Club World Cup, which they will not complain about.
