2024 has been a special year for Bayern Munich’s wonderkid, the all grown up now superstar Jamal Musiala. He has been absolutely electric both on Bayern duty and while featuring for the Germany men’s national team, and is a key player to both squads. In a recent interview, the 21-year-old relived his favorite moments of the year for both club and country.
“When we advanced against Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League,” Musiala said in response to just such a question in his year-end Sport Bild interview (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Then when Phonzy [Alphonso Davies] scored in Madrid, which put us 1-0 ahead in the second leg of the semi-finals.
“And actually the entire EUROs was a moment of happiness: every goal, every encounter with the fans. My goal in the opening match against Scotland, the win in the round of 16 against Denmark. I was happy until the Spain game.”
The Spain game…oof. To even happier sporting memories in 2025, Jamal!
