Bayern Munich legend Uli Hoeneß has never been one to mince words.
In fact, some folks would argue that maybe a softer tone would benefit Hoeneß at times. However, Hoeneß would just not quite be himself that way, eh?
When asked by kicker (via @iMiaSanMia) what his wish was for Bayern Munich’s 125th anniversary, Hoeneß did not have to think long — Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz.
“If I had freedom without limits, then I’d wish Florian Wirtz at FC Bayern because he’d fit in very well with us and with (Jamal) Musiala,” Hoeneß said.
Hoeneß also sat down with t-online’s Julian Buhl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) and noted that Wirtz is part of his “dream” for Bayern Munich.
“He’s certainly a player we should not lose sight of. If I could have a dream, then I would say that Florian Wirtz has to go to FC Bayern. But that is just my personal opinion,” the club legend said.
Can Bayern Munich find a way to convince Wirtz that the time to make a move is the summer of 2025?
