Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge thinks his club would be wise not to look past Celtic FC in the Champions League.
“They are a bit of a surprise package, winning 3-1 at home against Leipzig and losing 1-7 in Dortmund. Which of these was their standard performance? I’ve already experienced a few games in Glasgow, Celtic Park is a cauldron. Nevertheless, if we have the ambition to reach the final at home, progressing against Celtic is a must. Anything else would be a huge disappointment,” Rummenigge told Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The Bavarians figure to be a heavy favorite, but crazier things have happened. Perhaps, the best thing to do is avoid a Macbeth-ian downfall.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
