Bayern Munich player Jamal Musiala is now in his fifth season as a member of the senior team. From the tender age of 17, he was included in the squad as a young upstart and looked to his more experienced teammates to guide him along the way. Though he is now an undroppable part of the starting XI and one of the most important players on the team, Musiala is hardly done learning from those around him:
“I ask for feedback very often. From the coaches, and also from my more experienced teammates,” Musiala states, via @iMiaSanMia. “When they tell me a few things, I decide what to do with them. That’s how I get different ideas. I’ve had a few coaches now, and I’ve asked them all what they want to see from me and how that fits in with how they play. I talk a lot with [head coach] Vincent (Kompany) and with [assistant coaches] René (Maric) or Danksy (Aaron Danks) and watch my games again.”
Musiala is still just 21, after all, and still has so much learning and growing to do. As much as he has grown and how incredible of a player he has become, Musiala has done well to remember to keep himself grounded.
