Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) will host a pivotal light heavyweight matchup later tonight (Sat., Feb. 1, 2025) LIVE on Amazon Prime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the undefeated David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KO) puts his interim WBC light heavyweight title on the line against WBA light heavyweight champion David Morrell Jr. (11-0, 9 KO).
While Saturday’s card doesn’t feature one of the elite names in boxing right now, Benavidez is quickly becoming one. The power puncher is coming off wins over the likes of Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Caleb Plant, Demetrius Andrade, and David Lemieux. He has finished 24 of his 29 wins by way of knockout and is one more impressive victory away from cracking into the upper echelon of stars in the sport.
Morrell, on the other hand, only has 11 professional fights under his belt, but the Cuban champion had produced a 130–5 record as an a amateur so his experience is extensive. As a pro, Morrell has finished nine of his wins by way of knockout and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Radivoje Kalajdzic back in Aug. 2024 to claim the vacant WBA light heavyweight title.
Fight fans will be patiently waiting for Benavidez and Morrell to settle their bad blood atop Saturday’s event, but the rest of the card should produce fireworks as well. Check out the official viewing details below so you don’t miss a second of the action:
