Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss four-star receiver Adrian Wilson has committed to Colorado. The 6-0, 170-pounder from the class of 2025 decommitted from Arizona State recently, quickly locked in an official visit to Boulder, and wasted no time committing to the Buffaloes.
Wilson is ranked as the No. 35 receiver in the country per 247Sports. He’s the No. 39 overall player in the state of Texas. In addition, he’s listed as the No. 273 overall prospect nationally per the industry-generated composite rankings.
In the end, Wilson found his home at Colorado and he’s excited to suit up for head coach Deion Sanders.
“Definitely seeing how many people were bought into winning and the program,” said Wilson to 247Sports’ Jordan Scruggs, when asked why he picked Colorado.
“Being the most prepared for the the NFL as possible,” continued Wilson. “And continuing to better myself in all ways, including off the field.”
At the time of his decision, the 247Sports Crystal Ball was in favor of the Buffaloes.
As a junior, Wilson racked up 60 catches for 1,003 yards and 14 scores.
Here’s what 247Sports National Analyst Gabe Brooks had to say about the newest Colorado commit.
“Wilson’s having an encouraging senior year from a big-play standpoint. His per-catch rate of 23.1 yards reflects that, and represents a notable increase, especially considering that he averaged 19.5 and 18.2 the past two seasons, respectively. Wilson has high school basketball experience and a 6-foot-4 high jump to provide a strong multi-sport athletic profile. That should help his ability to win shot-play opportunities in the red zone, or any contested-catch situation, for that matter. Wilson is a more linear-oriented athlete, whether playing downfield or competing in the air, so enhancing his short-area suddenness will raise the ceiling on his ability to provide chain-moving effectiveness in short-to-intermediate situations. His 6-foot frame and three-sport athletic foundation suggest that there’s more juice to squeeze from a developmental standpoint.”
