Most of Washington’s two-deep from the national runner-up Huskies are gone either from graduation or the portal, so narrowing the focus on needs is difficult because, well, look around. Still, Washington was hamstrung along the offensive line and continued to look for new pieces after going through spring practices with less than 10 healthy players. How crazy has it been? Look no further than a day in May, when Jedd Fisch lost Old Dominion offensive lineman Chris Adams, who flipped to Memphis, but then added Ohio State’s Enokk Vimahi shortly after the announcement.
Several Arizona stars followed Fisch to Washington, including running back Jonah Coleman and cornerback Ephesians Prysock, but the player who figures to make the biggest impact is Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers, who takes over for generational passer Michael Penix Jr. after throwing for 12,315 yards in 40 starts in the SEC.
