During his team’s 2-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Celtic coach Brendan Rodgers saw some really positive things from his squad.
Perseverance, the willingness to battle, and resiliency were all on display during the loss and Rodgers thinks there is much good that can be taken into the return at the Allianz Arena next week.
“You can always lose at this level, but you must never be broken, and we weren’t broken. We kept going, trying to play and fighting – and we got our reward for that. We’ll take that attitude into our game next week,” Rodgers said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It will not get an easier on the road for Celtic, but it does not appear that the Scottish club is willing to concede anything without a scrap. Surely, fans of both clubs are looking forward to Tuesday’s showdown.
