Head coach Brian Daboll was on the hot seat this offseason after leading the New York Giants to a paltry 3-14 record during the 2024 NFL season.
Daboll is lauded around the league for his offensive schemes and IQ, though that was hard to see this past season due to the lack of a viable quarterback.
Daniel Jones struggled in his return from a knee injury and was subsequently waived midseason despite signing a contract extension with New York.
Fortunately for Daboll and the organization, they have a chance to address the position in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
With the third overall pick, the Giants could choose between players like Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders.
In fact, Daboll was recently seen speaking with Sanders at a practice for the East-West Shrine Bowl.
“Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and Giants head coach Brian Daboll,” Rush reported.

This is the time of year when teams really begin preparing for the draft, and it appears that Daboll is making it well-known that New York has a serious interest in drafting Sanders.
Sanders had a stellar season for Colorado and is expected to be drafted high.
However, it remains to be seen if he’ll be available at three.
The Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns also need a quarterback, so New York must hope neither of them takes Sanders before their name is on the clock.
Sanders would be a massive get for the Giants, so it’ll be interesting to see if they land him.
