With the Arizona Cardinals stumbling to an 8-9 finish this season, there have been some whispers that perhaps quarterback Kyler Murray will not be a member of their roster once next season starts.
This is the third straight season in which they have missed the playoffs, and therefore their roster could look pretty different a handful of months from now.
But per Darren Urban, head coach Jonathan Gannon said that Murray will “100 percent” be a member of the Cardinals for next season.
On @BurnsAndGambo, Gannon was asked if Kyler Murray would be the Cardinals QB in 2025.
“100 percent.”

Murray had a solid season by throwing for 3,851 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 68.8 percent of his pass attempts, and he added 572 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
He has apparently put his ACL injury from two years ago behind him and returned to the form that saw him make two Pro Bowls in 2020 and 2021.
At least on the surface, it would seem foolish for the Cardinals to trade Murray — they will have only the No. 16 pick in the upcoming NFL draft, and the rest of their roster has a bit of potential.
Although rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had some issues, he accumulated 885 yards and eight touchdowns, while tight end Trey McBride contributed 1,146 yards and running back James Connor rushed for 1,094 yards and eight touchdowns.
Murray is over 27 years of age, so he should have at least several years of high-level football left in him moving forward, and perhaps that No. 16 pick may not yield a star, but it could give Arizona a solid starter who will help right away.
