Clinton Portis was a terrific NFL running back, but before that, he was an absolute star for the Miami Hurricanes as a college back from 1999 to 2001.
Now, over 20 years later, his son will be following in his footsteps. He’s not a running back, but Camdin Portis is a highly ranked cornerback out of Charlotte, N.C.
On Sunday, he committed to Miami, choosing his father’s alma mater over Auburn, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee.
This is one of those that just made sense for both parties.
“I watched Miami growing up and always wanted to go to Miami,” Portis told On3. “It is a beautiful place and a great school with a lot of tradition. Miami has had a lot of great players play there and it is on its way back up.”
