Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn announced his top 12 on Saturday.
USC, Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Michigan State, Alabama, Miami, Texas and Missouri are the schools for the 6-foot-3, 285-pound junior.
From there, Strayhorn says he has some spring visits planned.
He has Florida on March 23rd, Alabama on March 26th, Georgia on March 28th and he knows he will visit Ohio State and Miami also, but has not set dates for that.
He visited the Gators in Canes in the winter as well. In the fall, he attended games at Florida, Michigan, Michigan State.
Strayhorn plans to set official visits at some point, but he has not finalized any dates yet.
He shared his criteria for how he will further narrow a list — he says narrowing to ten or five will come next — and then making a commitment.
“The culture of the program, who the the coaches are, how they develop the center position and interior offensive line, who they’ve sent to the NFL and how they coach and the type of offense they run. Who they play against also, like I think the Big Ten and SEC are the best but the only reason I wouldn’t go to either of those conferences is for Miami,” he said.
Strayhorn added that he and his parents have discussed when he will commit, but nothing is set in stone and it is very open still with before and after his senior season on the table.
There are currently no 247Sports Crystal Ball selections for him.
A native of Michigan, Strayhorn played at Detroit Catholic Central his freshman year before transferring down to IMG. He is a Michigan State legacy as his father Jason played for the Spartans.
