The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup is nearly upon us, with plenty of Liga MX and MLS sides eyeing the chance at continental glory and a path to the 2025 Club World Cup.
This year’s most prestigious North American club competition, which was revamped to the Concacaf Champions Cup, sees Inter Miami and Lionel Messi take part for the first time, promising must-see action along the way. Orlando City and Philadelphia Union return to the competition after falling short last year while reigning Supporters’ Shield winners FC Cincinnati are set to make their tournament debut later this month.
Liga MX giants Club America, CF Monterrey, Chivas de Guadalajara and Tigres will all do their best to unseat Club Leon as the next Mexican side to take home the spoils in this year’s edition of the tournament. The likes of Miami, Pachuca, Columbus Crew, Robinhood and Alajuelense have all secured a bye to Round of 16 after their performances in their domestic leagues/competitions.
