SAN ANTONIO — Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie School three-star cornerback Marcellus Barnes Jr. is just about ready to announce his college commitment. The 5-11, 165-pounder will do exactly that on Saturday at the 2024 All-American Bowl.
Syracuse, Georgia and Ole Miss are the finalists for the No. 41 cornerback in American. Ahead of his decision, he spoke with 247Sports about all three schools.
Syracuse: “Coach Fran is one of the first coaches I was able to connect with early on in my recruitment. We built our relationship ever since the spring and heading into my senior year. Everything is great. I feel they have a great coaching staff up there and if I do commit there, that’s somewhere I feel I can really get developed.
