The New England Patriots might not have the best record as they sit at 3-10.
However, it seems as if they have possibly found their franchise signal-caller in Drake Maye.
While Maye has had his fair share of ups and downs as a rookie quarterback, one of his ups has been his ability to avoid sacks.
According to Patton Analytics, the former North Carolina Tar Heel is the second-best quarterback in the league right now when it comes to avoiding sacks efficiently (10 sacks avoided).

Maye’s ability to avoid being taken to the ground by opposing defenders gives the Patriots’ offense a better chance at success.
The 22-year-old has completed 67.2% of his passes, posted a passer rating of 87.0, and thrown 11 touchdowns.
Yes, he has had some turnovers and injuries, but he has also proven that he can be the right man to lead the team forward.
This kind of season was to be expected from Maye and New England.
With first-year head coach Jerod Mayo stepping in for former head coach Bill Belichick and the team largely in rebuild mode, seeing the Pats at 3-10 is not unsurprising.
Now, it is up to Maye and the other young players to continue progressing throughout the 2024 regular season.
If he can end the season on a high note over the next few weeks, the Pats could be a team to watch in the offseason and beyond.
